This year, FSC Spain celebrated its 25th anniversary, a milestone for all of us who believe in the responsible management of forest resources. At MailComms Group, we had the privilege of joining them at the commemorative event held in Cuenca, a gathering that provided an opportunity for reflection on the present and future of sustainability in the forestry sector.
This anniversary not only celebrates the history of one of the world’s most widely recognized environmental certifications, but also our collective progress toward a more balanced development model, in which the protection of terrestrial ecosystems plays an essential role.
We at MailComms Group would like to express our gratitude to FSC Spain for once again placing its trust in us to print its Annual Report for the second consecutive year. This project is particularly significant due to the high standards it demands in terms of quality, traceability, and sustainability, and it reflects a relationship based on a shared commitment to responsible resource management.
More responsible forestry, more positive impact
Spain has now surpassed one million hectares of FSC-certified forest, building on significant growth over the past year. This trend reflects the growing commitment of government agencies, businesses, and citizens to a forest management model that ensures:
- Biodiversity conservation.
- Respect for local communities.
- The economic viability of the forestry sector.
Choosing FSC-certified products means committing to a value chain in which environmental, social, and economic balance is no longer just a goal but a reality.
Paper can also be sustainable
In an increasingly digital world, physical communication remains an essential channel for sectors such as banking, insurance, utilities, and public administration. When sourced responsibly, paper is part of the solution.
MailTeck, as an FSC® Chain of Custody-certified company, guarantees the traceability of the materials used in our printed communications.
This ensures that the paper used comes from responsibly managed forests and controlled sources, in accordance with strict international standards and independent verification processes.
This certification allows us to offer our clients the peace of mind that their printed communications meet verifiable sustainability criteria, integrating environmental responsibility as another element of the communication experience.
In this way, we help organizations across multiple sectors incorporate ESG criteria into their document management and communication processes, without compromising on quality, efficiency, or the best possible experience for their customers.
Sustainability Integrated into Our Strategy
Our commitment to initiatives such as FSC is part of a broader sustainability strategy that guides all of our activities.
Among the most recent achievements , the company was awarded the 2026 EcoVadis Silver Medal, which ranks MailComms Group among the top 15% of companies for their sustainability performance, as well as our accession to the United Nations Global Compact, reinforcing our commitment to the Ten Principles and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We believe that sustainability does not depend on a single decision, but rather on the sum of many actions that, when integrated into the business strategy, generate a positive and lasting impact.
Looking to the future
FSC’s 25th anniversary reminds us that protecting forests is a shared responsibility. Businesses, institutions, and citizens all play a vital role in conserving ecosystems that are essential for addressing the challenge of climate change.
At MailComms Group, we will continue to promote communication solutions that combine innovation, trust, and sustainability, convinced that every document, every communication, and every project can help create value for our clients, society, and the environment.
