If you have ever visited our certifications section you will have seen the EcoVadis seal in the sustainability section. If you don’t know what it is and it has caught your attention, you are in the right content to satisfy your curiosity.
What is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis is a global platform that evaluates and rates companies on sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
At MailComms Group we have voluntarily submitted to this systematic third-party evaluation standard, like many other companies. And we have done so to offer real transparency about our responsible performance, standardized and objective data to help you select suppliers aligned with your objectives, a guarantee of regulatory compliance and proven best practices.
This way, by working with us, your supply chain is more engaged, which benefits your company, society and the planet.
EcoVadis in figures
To understand how valuable the EcoVadis indicator is, we invite you to know some figures that summarize the platform’s activity:
- More than 150,000 evaluations performed globally since its inception.
- 22% increase in the number of files published in 2024.
- Participating companies improved their environmental and social performance by 2 points on average over the past year, compared to the previous year.
- 26,400 students participated, also in 2024, in the EcoVadis Academy.
All this reflects how EcoVadis drives real, constant and measurable improvements and does so, among other things, thanks to the participation of thousands of companies and individuals.
What does EcoVadis analyze?
In conducting its analyses, EcoVadis focuses on four main areas:
- Environment: evaluation of environmental policies, practices and results, as well as carbon footprint, waste management and other aspects.
- Labor practices and human rights: referring to both the company and its supply chain. It examines working conditions, gender equality, non-discrimination, freedom of association and undesirable practices such as child or forced labor.
- Ethics: includes aspects of the organization’s corporate ethics, such as anti-corruption policies, transparency, compliance with laws and others.
- Sustainable purchasing: this section scores the purchasing and sourcing policy of the company under review. The more sustainable it is, the better.
The analysis results in a report and a score from 0 to 100. In addition, each company examined is given a classification: gold, silver or bronze.
What is our score?
In our case, as MailTecK S.A. (part of Mailcomms Group), we achieved a score of 65 out of 100 in 2024, which places us in the 81st percentile among all the organizations evaluated. We have therefore been awarded the bronze medal.
To put it another way: we are among the 35% of audited companies with the best social and environmental practices. But the most important thing is our commitment to improve year after year in relation to our environmental and social performance.
