The MailComms team is growing! Today we present in our blog Andrés Ángel Posada, who joins our company to play the role of Senior Legal & Regulatory Technology Consultant.
From his position, Andrés will offer transversal support to the Operations, Commercial, DPO and CISO areas to contribute to the correct integration of regulatory and security requirements in the company’s services. He will also promote the alignment of the group’s solutions with relevant regulatory frameworks such as eIDAS2, RGPD, DORA, RIA and NIS2 to reinforce their legal and evidentiary value.
With its incorporation, the group strengthens its commitment to digital trust based on pillars such as regulatory rigor, operational excellence and effective collaboration between areas. All, in combination, provide valuable and sustainable competitive advantages in the market.
Career Path
Andrés has developed his professional career in positions related to technology regulation, data protection and cybersecurity in European and Latin American organizations.
Prior to this new stage, he was part of the ECIX Tech team as a senior consultant in privacy, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. In this context, he collaborated with large IBEX 35 business groups in the design and implementation of regulatory compliance models, impact assessments, governance frameworks and alignment with European regulations such as RGPD, Artificial Intelligence Regulation (RIA), NIS2 and international security standards.
He has also worked with companies of different sizes and in highly regulated sectors, such as utilities, critical infrastructure and financial services, among others, to provide expert advice on regulatory compliance, risk management, information governance and digital transformation.
In addition, Andrés is co-chair of the Madrid chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), from where he actively participates in outreach initiatives, regulatory debate and best practices in privacy, cybersecurity and digital governance.
Training
Andrés Ángel Posada has a highly specialized background in regulation, technology and cybersecurity. He is a graduate in Law and has completed two Master’s degrees in Spain: Telecommunications and Information Technology Law at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Cybersecurity at Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Madrid). During the last years, he has also complemented his preparation with international certifications from the IAPP (FIP, CIPP/E, CIPM and CIPT) and ISACA (CSX/F), and with advanced training in ISO standards related to information security.
