    They can also be taken as a challenge to reach higher levels of sustainability, which is always positive for companies, society and the planet.     New level of Zero Waste certification<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

    [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” dp_animation=””]Last year we told you what the Towards Zero Waste certificate means and what it is for. <\/span>Towards Zero Waste certificate<\/span><\/a>. We also explain the importance of the word “towards<\/strong>” in this denomination. Today we tell you that we have obtained the Residue certificate. <\/strong> <\/span>Zero<\/strong>, i.e. we have raised the level of recovery of our waste from 86.01% to 94.41%. This “towards” indicated that we were on the way to achieving a very important goal, and now the new certificate indicates that we have achieved it. But there is still room for improvement. <\/span><\/p>\n

    \"\"We have achieved this new category thanks to the recovery of three new types of waste (plastics, liquid inks and aqueous liquid waste), in addition to all the types of waste we had already been working with.     Valorization in sustainable development<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

    [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” dp_animation=””]Waste recovery is essential to advance in two key concepts for the planet and to slow down or reverse the effects of climate change: the circular economy and decarbonization<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    In terms of the circular economy, proper waste management makes it possible to recover valuable materials that can be reused to manufacture new products<\/strong>. This also extends the life cycle of resources and makes the extraction of virgin raw materials unnecessary<\/strong>. It also plays an important role in reducing landfill waste<\/strong>, which in turn protects soil, water and air from contamination. All this while promoting innovation and employment and thus having a positive impact on the economy<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

    In terms of decarbonization<\/strong>, the energy recovery of waste replaces the use of fossil fuels<\/strong> with fuels such as biogas to produce electricity, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions.     Renewal of the calculated Carbon Footprint certificate<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

    [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” dp_animation=””]AENOR’s Calculated Carbon Footprint is one of the most recognized certifications of environmental practices, even more so if it includes the three scopes, as is our case in the renewal we have just obtained.
    <\/span>This certificate accredits, as its name indicates, the calculation of greenhouse gas<\/strong> (GHG) emissions<\/strong> emitted by a company in the development of its activity in a verified manner. <\/span> <\/p>\n

    In other words,Carbon Footprint<\/span>calculated returns a quality emissions inventory<\/strong> and accurate data that helps the companies that achieve it to know their environmental “state”. This allows entities to know their points of improvement and work on a detailed strategy to optimize their green performance<\/strong>. <\/p>\n
